New Manufacture 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine in 30-06
« on: August 31, 2006, 05:22:48 AM »
These are shown on the winchester web site as being a limited edition run. Anybody ever seen one or know of one for sale? I would like to buy. Being made in the Japan factory they may or may not be stopped by the recent upheavals at USRAC.

I don't know about the new ones, but my original .30 Gov't '06 SRC did the job again this past weekend. My handloads of 47 grains H4895 pushing a 150 Sierra Game King made the one shot drop on this little CA Blacktail.

I get my kicks from an 1886.

I got one! It came in yesterday. It is a beauty. Wood to metal fit and metal finish is better than my new manutacture 1895 30-06 rifle. Paid less than MSR of $1400 to boot, some guys on the auction sites want $1700!

I bought one last week. It is awesome.

Buffalo Arms makes a repro Lyman receiver sight for it that's next on my buy list.
