Pro hunter vs Encore?

 Do as I say not as I do huh Larry.  you attack two differant members at the beginng of your post and then end your post asking that no one ever disagree with you.  you claim you love your contenders great so do I.  you claim your encores give you more problems than your contenders great so do mine.   most of these problems are very easy fixes. a simple Question to the forum and you will usually get several ideas and answers on how to make it shoot better.  (Basic princible behind the forum)  So please stick with your bolts, pumps, and levers(  they have a forum for them and it aint here)

Please show me where this "kissing" has occured. I have never had a dialouge with Redhawk. I don't know this guy, with the exception of a few post I have read on this forum and I don't even know where he is from. You see LL, there you are in the "attack mode" again. Attack and divert. You sell used cars? (Ya see what happens when you turn the table?)

I find it pretty typical for someone to just attack an individual in a feeble attempt to discredit his credibility.

I come to this site for information and not idle chit chat.  I have had more then enough problems with my Encore and thinking I may be able to pick up some insight that may of help to me. 

LL, I find this difficult to believe. You make "blanket" statements about Encores. You say that you have "problem X" with an Encore...and therfore all Encore's must have "problem X". I mean, you make this statment as if you have personally looked at, and fired thousands of Encores that are out there. I would find this hard to believe.

Now as to my statements.  If you would read them you will notice that I do not condem T/C.  I praise their Contenders.  My only problems are with the Encore family of guns.  If you don't like my thoughts on a subject, you don't have to jump me and belittle my thoughts.  All it does is show how ignorant you can be. 

Your statements, again, are a blanket one on all Encores and ProHunters. I think that is a fine demonstration of your knoweldge of these guns.

Actions such as thesecan give a site a bad name.  I am pretty sure that if we were standing in the same room, this gang up wouldn't be taking place.  They have a name for actions like this; they call it cowardess. 

Well, once again we agree on something. (I think that's two now).

So hammer away, for I am sure that will happen, but all you will do is show an ugly side to this place.

BTW, I had some initial grouping problems with my new 243 prohunter. But, after some work, some help from research on this forum, a call to T\C and a call to Sierra Bullets (nice people at both T\C and Sierra) I found out that it was my fault that the gun was not shooting MOA. So, once I did the correct thing, the gun now shoots sub-MOA. Just ask the groundhog that I hit yesterday at 205 yards.....oh wait....maybe don't ask him.

It would seem that the new Encore hasn't been around long enough for folks to start pulling out their hair yet.  Give it time and wait.  I have seen many people having accuracy problems and I don't think they will go away too soon.  Until then I would go with your gut instinct and use the past experience your have encountered. 

As for me, I will stick with my bolt action, leverguns and pump long guns.  They have yet to fail me and I will go with a proven thing. 

Ok LL. This is America and you can stick with your bolt actions, lever's and pumps. But what I don't get is why do you come to a T\C forum just to complain about T\C's to people who obviously like T\C's? If you don't like T\C's then go to another forum and post away about bolt actions, pumps, and lever's.

No need for personal attacks Lawful Larry. We all don't have to agree.  You had a problem and we have heard about it in a lot of threads, some of us don't have the same problems, so there for it is not an inherent problem. Some know how to deal with there problems and get the gun to shoot without having to always cry about it and say all Encores don't shoot good. It is OK to disagree.

I have a stainless reciever with the stainless 209 x 50 barrel and a .260 barrel. I got some vertical stringing , so I sanded the inside  forearm except by the screwhole and the stringing is gone. I use an RCBS full length die but I seat the bullet within .004 " of the lands. Using H 1000 I can get sub 5/8 inches very consistently. Am thinking of a 300 WM for the next barrel.

Well said, I know what you mean about the C Sharps. I looked at the Pedersoli repro, but I got the Shiloh Sharps, Yes it was 2 1/2 time more money, but well worth it in my opinion.

I'll just say this, the C. Sharp's are well worth the money & wait.  The Shiloh's are great too.  Best fit & finsh of any rifle I own.  guns4570, you'll love it when you get it.  Usually, you get what you pay for.  I've got a C. Sharps 1874 Bridgeport sporting rifle in 45-70.

I thought about getting a Shiloh Sharps, but went with the Pedersoli.  I agree that the C. Sharps and Shiloh Sharps are beautiful, well made pieces of art.  However, I am a CAS (Cowboy Action Shooter) and use my Pedersoli for long range side matches.  This is all use it for and didn't see or could I justify the extra money for the others.  I must say that the Pedersoli is working out nicely and I have no regrets. 

If I had a boat load of cash, I would have bought one of the other Sharps.  Oh yeah, when I was in the market for one of these guns, the Shilohs were a five year waiting period and the C. Sharps were three!  I didn't want to wait.  I ended up getting a #2 Creedmore Pedersoli model and love it for estetics and accurracy.

I agree with that, all of the guys I know that shoot peds, love them, and they shoot great.  I just happend to have the money lying around when I bought mine, so I bought the C. Sharps.  I would probably have been very happy with the pederasoli, but never could find one set up the way I wanted it, without spending just about the same money.

Guess we're strayin from the original topic.  BTW....  I love my Encore too.....
