7.62x39 and 45/70 barrles
« on: September 02, 2006, 09:17:33 AM »
Took the barrels to the range today got them back yesterday (took nine weeks) and they really shot good after a little sighting in at one hundred yards they both shot x's consistently it was well worth the wait for theses barrels they both worked perfectly. The only thing I noticed is that the 45/70 barrel is an ejector and the 7.62x39 is an extractor since the wait was for the 45/70 then they must still be making the ejector type barrels.

Thanks

Dewy ;D

Only until they run out of ejector underlugs, that's the difference, they're probably using what ejectors they have for the calibers that don't have ejection problems which would be the straight cased calibers, shotgun and rimfires. Their intent is to switch everything to extractor, according to Gordon.

I tested the 45/70 using  horandy’s leverevolution and the 7.62x39 was using 125Gr sp and IMR 4227 worked great.

Thanks

The Hornady flex tip bullets aren't available as a component yet, they're only available in loaded ammo.
