Marlin 1894 CARBINE
« on: September 03, 2006, 09:29:20 AM »
I think I may have asked this before, but do not remember the answer and cannot find the thread...maybe at was at the other (inferior) marlin site... ::)

Any way, I have had this gun for many years. Being lucky enough to be in the same state as the Marlin Factory you can run across some one off marlins...you know "LUNCH BOX GUNS". :-[ Any how, I bought this one from a gun shoppe locally about 1990. Its a Marlin 1894 CARBINE in 357 mag caliber with super nice wood.

Here is some pics:

Here is a pic of the wood:

Anyone seen one like it...BTW I know it SHOULD be a 1984C but its NOT roll marked that way!!!

The firearms companies just don't mark guns that way!
I have one also and it's marked just like yours, it has the word CARBINE right after the model number!

In some cases, you really have to know what you are looking at in order to tell exactly what it is!
For example lots of people (myself included) wouldn't know the difference between a Remington Model 700 ADL and a Remington Model 700 Classic!

BTW: That sure is some nice wood on your carbine!
