I don't honestly know what a Legacy Pointer is. The Mossy looks nice fit and finish wise but has major quality issues. I'd not advise buying one unless you enjoy checking out their customer service policies. I'd suggest you take a close look at the Huglu imported by both CZ and DeHaan.

Can't say as I've heard of a Legacy pointer either ??? But I've heard a few stories about the Mossbergs Q.C.
In the same price range, check out a Lanber or Verona. CDNN has some on sale in their newest catalog. I haven't heard anything bad about either. I bought a Spartan 310 (IZH 27) They are not a pretty gun, but they're hell for tough!

I second Graybeard's suggestion of the Huglu. I just acquired a CZ Redhead Deluxe, manufactured by Huglu for CZ. I was very pleased with what I received. Can't speak to long term reliability but O/U are fairly simple mechanisms.
