Coyote Breeding Season
« on: April 11, 2003, 06:49:26 AM »
Would coyotes here in southern Maine still be breeding? Its kind of late i think, but i was watching a field the other day and a pair of coyotes came out and started doing the big nasty about 50-60 yds away. The bitch sure looked mature and was acting like she was in heat. I always thought that their season here is in Feb.  Maybe i witnessed a coyote phoenomon..

You get early and late breeding  in canines and it all depends when the female comes in heat.   Here in Wi deer dont usually drop fawns till approximately end of April and i saw two fawns so far chasing after their mamas in fields already this yr
