GDAY FRIENDS....JUST WONDERING WHY MY CAST BULLETS PURCHASED COME LUBED ..?? WHATS THE PUPOSE OF THE BULLET LUBE ..?? I KNOW PROBABLY STUPID QUESTION.. BUT I WAS NEVER TOLD WHY ..........THANX FOR HELP .....DAVEY

Lube on lead bullets keeps lead fouling to a minimum if there is enough of it and the bullet fits the gun properly. If they didn't come lubed you would have to run them through a lubersizer befor loading them - unless you like cleaning the lead fouling from your barrel.

go to www.castboolits.com and ask there. Bullet lube is NOT a lubricant actually.It is more a bore sealant that prevents gas blow by.The bullet makers "lube " them because a lot of their customers do not have or want luber-sizers. I find it cheaper to cast ,size and lube myself than pay for that service.
