Thompson single shot rifle in .416 Rigby/.30-06(two barrels)
« on: September 08, 2006, 08:15:23 PM »
Does anyone know if I can purchase a Thompson single shot rifle(two barrels)? One barrel in .416 Rigby and one barrel in .30-06. Some how on line I just
can not quite seem to extract the information from the Thompson Center web site. I would want both barrels tapped for a scope. No I'm not crazy because
I want a single shot. Remember it can be reloaded quite quickly and exception would be extremely dangerous game. I am vietnam veteran, served two tours
with 1st 16th rangers 1st Division and 9th Infantry Division 2/52 infantry, recon. Have been in numerous hairy situatioins and I really should not be here now.
You must admit that simba would get a much more fairer chance. Would appreciate anyone commenting who has knowledge of Thompson single shot rifles.
I really would not want to shoot simba 500,700 yards away with a scope and a bipod under the rifle. If thats the case then I do not wish to shoot simba.

Rigby, I got my 416 Rigby barrel from Cabelas, it is an exclusive to Cabelas, yes it is tapped for a scope mount. You can also get the 30-06 there also.

If you look, the ProHunter barrels are also chambered in 416 Rigby.  We are currently waiting on one now.  Midway shows that they should be in by the end of the month.  Hopefully we will be able to get our hands on one of them.  My brother is itching for it right about now. GS
