How high for snares

Can someone tell me?  I am useing snares for coons for the first time this year my ? is How big of a loop and also high off the ground.  My area has a surplus of coons and reds I figure I can carry more and run a bigger line if I use half leghold and half snares.  thanks for any help

I place my coon snares about 4 or 5 inches off the ground with about a 7 or 8 inch loop. Fox loops are the same just a couple of inches higher. Worm
