1962/3 Ruger Single Six
« on: September 09, 2006, 03:37:17 AM »
I received a pristine, unfired single six in the original box from about 1962 or 63 a week or so ago and promptly broke it in! ;D

Can't stand an unfired gun!  Any idea of the value - now that I ruined it?

You took a serious chunk off it's value by firing it. ::)  Go to rugerforum.com, they have much more experience in Rugers

Flash, I knew that from the start.  If it had been an unfired 1851 Navy from before the Civil War, I might have reconsidered...but it's merely a Ruger from the time of my childhood.  To not fire it would have been a travesty to me.  Screw the "collector's" value.  This gun was a gift from a shooter to a shooter.  I was interested mostly for insurance purposes.  Appreciate the comeback.

I would have shot it too.  Something like that would only be sold after I was dead anyway.

It sits on the same pedestal as my 1958 Ruger .44 Flattop!  I love'm...but I love to hear them bang even more!
