Does anyone know of cheap a small bore centerfire, currently being made in 32/20 or 25/20 in the $400 range?

I dunno about cheap anymore, but Marlin had some very nice lever action .25-20 and .32-20 in the last several years. If you get lucky, maybe you can find a good used one.

If you do npt already have one you could always buy a cheap used 30/30 win for 175 to 250 range and load down the 30/30 ammo to "Plinker" velocities to simulate a 32/20 and still have it to use with the full load 30/30 rounds and use the accel rounds for a all around gun. Jim :eek:

Flash, what would you use it for?

You could buy a pistol caliber that exceeds the usefulness of either round. One easily comes to mind a lever in .357, even without rolling your own ammo this is the most versitile. Plink .38s all day and any good .357 for more serious stuff.

If you just want one, save for a good one. The cost of the carbine will not be an issue, just the shells.
