Taurus 431 .44 Special
« on: September 11, 2006, 12:48:48 PM »
I just picked up a 3" Taurus .44 Special revolver to use as a woods gun.  Anyone have any experience with this particular model?  I haven't had an opportunity to fire the revolver yet, so I am curious as to how felt recoil will be.

Yes! I have one of these and will get another. One of my favorite revos.
I reduced the size of the grips to "boot grips". Very concealeable.
Hot ammo is pretty snappy-read Buffalo Bore. (it is a 3" gun after all)
I carry 200 grn. Gold Dots or 200 grn. Silvertips.
Both are very accurate. The Silvertips are very
mild to shoot for some reason.
I gave mine a hammerspring/trigger return upgrade
but It wasn't bad to begin with.
