« on: September 12, 2006, 04:13:30 PM »
With all my toys,I'm Missing a lever action. Got the ankering fer one.
The new 336XLR by Marlin has caught my eye. The lam/ss combo is one of my weaknesses. Best price I got so far was 625.00 out the door. Has anyone else priced these, and do yall think they are worht the extra 200.00 over the wal/blue.

Yes, stainless & Lam. st. & the deep Ballard rifling & the rifle is designed to feed the new ammo better, nice Pac. recoil pad, nice touch with the fluted bolt, have I got to $200.00 yet?  ;D

It would sure be more comfortable than most 45-70 platforms, I am afraid to handle one!!!
You will not make peace with the Bluecoats, you are free to go.

Awww...go ahead...You know you want to......They are very nice...and balance pretty darn good...The one I have waiting on me...has about a 3lb-4lb trigger...not great...but not bad either...

I believe the Wal-mart website will reveal a better pricetag.

Wal-Mart don't list the XLR in 30-30, but list two others. May could call and see if they could get it. It would seen they could if they carry it in other cal.
