Remmy 750 Working Well-- Maybe needs magazine tuning??
« on: September 17, 2006, 05:30:38 AM »
My .308 750 works really well now. I use 44 gr. of IMR 4895 under 150gr bullets and she shoots just fine. A pleasure to shoot in fact. She'll be goin' hunting in Nov. I full length resize with small base die. I think I may have a clip problem though as if I have more than two in the clip it jams. No big problem as thre shots is enough. Any hints on how to tune the clip would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the 750 magazine for the 308 have the little spacer in it like the 7400/7600 magazines does?  If it does, speaking from experience make sure that it is firmly in place.  I had one that was angled slightly forward and it would cause the nose of the bottom 2 rounds in the magazine to hang on the front of the magazine.  I have little tolerance for magazines that don't work and they don't stay around long, however since this is a new gun I would call Remington and request they make it right. Hope this helps
