Model 60-4 Gone but not forgotten
« on: September 17, 2006, 11:02:22 AM »
Back in 1993 I prchased a Model 60 in .38 with a full lug barrel , adj. sights, and target trigger and hammer. I had it as a trused friend for nearly ten years when it was stolen from my pickup outside my quiet contry home. I was completly caught off guard and received no help from police. They never came out; just filed report via phone. My search for another has not been easy and I don't want a new one that shoots the mag and .38. I miss that gun if anyone knows where I can be reunited with one leagaly of course let me know.

When one of my pistols turned up missing I called the police and they came out and took a report and looked the situation over. I had to have a police report to get ins. money. I used that money to replace it. It still hasn't turned up.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I too used to have one of the little revolvers, it was a great woods gun.  I don't have mine now because I was stupid and sold it, then the next thing I  knew they had dried up.  I bought one of the 357 versions, I thought it would be even better, I was wrong.  It was no where near as accurate as my old 38. I have since went to a model 66 which is very accurate but is not as handy as the old model 60.  I hope you find one to replace yours.

Well my now woods gun is a 696 with a 3"FL barrel. I bought it used for a reasonable price and now they are unreasonable! It is a great revolver but that little 60 was just right for a small gun and shot wadcutters like a dream.
