Thinking about getting a Burris 4x38mm "K" series scope for my 45-70. I'm concerned about the eye relief if mounted on a Ruger #1. Also, does anyone have experience with the scopes as far as how they stand up when mounted on hard recoiling rifles?

Are you refering to the Weaver K Series 4x38? I am not familiar with a Burris K Series.
