hey 54,,, back when i was workin in that area of yurs there was a road called kings mill something, and it went east from kings island, wound its way down a fairly large hill, and atthe bottom was an ol peters amunition factory , right on a river? do you know of it ? and is it still down there this place was huge and i was told it closed in the early 50's

Shaner, yeah that old powder factory is still there. My sons told me they used to drive down there late at nite when they were teenagers.
Kind of a spooky old place at nite I guess and that always seems to draw teenagers. They would tell stories about strange things they heard or saw down there.....mostly imagination I'm sure. There's a bike trail that runs along the river and I sometimes go down there and just take a long walk on my lunch break.

well gladto hear its still there i guess, i was told by some locals that back in the day they used mules to haul the powder up the hill to some train depot, god wouldnt it be sooo cool to be able to drop back a100yrs , for awhile to just watch? i still get amamzed at how they did things back when with the tech they had??

Hey Shaner and Banger, you guys know the Danville area I see. Banger, you say your brother still lives there. How about doing a fellow buckeye a favor and the next time you see him ask him if Stull's Gun Shop is still there or if it's gone. I bought a .22 rifle there once about 20 years ago. Just curious. as far as i know yes it is, lonny the dad isnt there much the son took over, i havent been there in 10 yrs i bet my self , but ive talkedto guys that had him do work for them, if i get over in the area ill swing in an check , i travel rt 3 now an then goin to loudenville and the likes of, what area yu from ? if i may ask?

Haven't been there for a long time. I belong to both Leetonia & Lowellville Clubs. I'm over by East Fairfield.

Oh, I'm sure I know one or two. I shoot at Cubic Shot, which is just below Lisbon and I use East Ohio Gun Works to do some of my gunsmithing. I was born and raised in East Palestine.

I'm on the Portage river Port Clinton. I deer hunt here and for years about five miles south of Nelsonville. last season I hunted about two miles south of RT30 between Ashland and Mansfield. Opening day counted thirty eleven were bucks! Well kept secret I guess.

Big ones yes but I didn't think there was so many. I might not have to drive so far.
Stimpy If your from Lima I used to work there in the refinery and the tank plant mostly in the 70's. Back then I lived three miles off rt 75 between Perrysburg and Bowling Green. Our gun club used to get clay birds right off east side of 75 in Lima.
