Well, I finally got a set of handles for my PRS molds yesterday. I lit the stove this morning thinking I'd cast a few just to see how they looked. Now, I believe ya'll know that I'm REAL new to casting, so I can say this set of molds were the easiest to cast with of any I've ever used and be quite truthful about it!

When I quit casting and started going through the bullets to cull my mistakes, I put the good ones in piles of 100. I now have 9.? piles of bullets I'm really pleased with. I did have several culls, but most of them were from running out of melt in the dipper while pouring the last hole. I did figure how to solve that problem in short order!! :-D
I guess the point of this post is just to say that this is a good mold that's easy to use and still get good bullets, and a quick thanks to all involved in my being a proud owner of one. Wish I'd had the extra money for two.
I had thought I'd try a few of them this afternoon; but, as things normally go around here, there was a minor glitch. I had a couple of hundred set up in my pie pan, the oven was heating, things were going smoothly till I got to the freezer to get a batch of lube. It was like Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. I'm out of lube, and the hardware stores in this small town close at noon on Saturdays.
Oh well, something to look forward to some evening this week.
I can see now that my initial 25 and the additional 15 gallons of wheel weights isn't going to last very long! So I guess I'm gonna hafta hit the tire stores in the surrounding towns as well.
Boy this Cowboy shootin' is
SOME hobby!!! And friends to share it with ta boot!!!! Can't beat that with a stick!
