As MSP said, the .35 Rem being one of them, 7x57 is another. The 7.62x39 and .35 Whelen were on the list, but those are available now.  The .260 Remington has been mentioned also. One thing that would be nice and has been asked for is longer barrels in more calibers, the 26" barrel are only available in 2 calibers, .25-06 and .280. A 26", maybe even 28" .270 and .30-06 would be nice additions. ;D

I would love to see a 25-35 with at least a 24" barrel.  In my opinion this would be a great Handi caliber.  Even a 22" barrel that would be a good fitted with youth stocks and a low powered scope for a young gun to deer hunt with.  Little bigger bullet then the 243 and maybe even less recoil would make a great deer rifle.

I am looking to be making one in the future, I have been serioulsy considering lining a shotgun barrel with a good 25 cal barrel and chambering it for 25-35 to fit on my Handi.

I cant say this would be a popular caliber for the average guy because ammo wouldnt be the easiest to find in a pinch, but for the reloader and bullet casters like me it would be a great rifle.

There was some talk about folks wanting a 32 H&R Mag a while back. That's something I'd like to see. Also 30/40 Krag (some guys have rechambered 30/30 for that already) and a 303 British... Just some thoughts.

I heard that!!! And I'll second it loudly..
And a couple fun pistol calibers, like a 9mm, 45 ACP, or even a 30cal M1 would be great.

My vote goes to the 35 Rem, 7X57 & 260 Rem, as well.  I also second Quick's suggestion of longer barrels for the .270 & .30-06. Expand the Ultra line to include more calibers.  Perhaps all of them.  First on my list would be an Ultra .280.  Seems I've read somewhere that there used to be one offered, but it was discontinued.  How about an Ultra 7mm-08? Or perhaps a .35 Whelen?

My personal choice for Handi calibers would be the .303 British and 7.62X54R.  I doubt either have much of a chance, especially given the disappointment of the 7.62X39 not being recommended for using surplus ammo.  I would hold out hope, though, that there are more reloaders loading the .303 than either of the Russian cartridges. Factory .303 ammo is available just about anywhere ammo is sold, with the exception of the "Mart" stores.

Can I take this in another direction, I'd Really Love to see a barrel in 375 H&H, I'm not sure if the handy is up to that; but it would bring it into the "One world one rifle" class.  Failing that how 'bout 9.3x62 or even better 9.3x74R.  Those are easier on the reciever and still considered Dangerous game cartridges.

If your still reading I'd buy a 7.62x 54R, if it would work with surplus ammo.  8mm would be great too, if you'd like to court those of us with continental desires.  Im also in for 303 British and 30-40 Krag.

Now for some fun cartridges, 45-120 would be great.  Its been done and works.  How about some truely big bore stuff like a rifled muzzel loader in say .72 caliber.

I agree. Pistol calibers would be fun, I think another to add would be the 10mm Auto, enough for deer out of a handgun would be interesting out of a 22" barrel.  A 32 Special would be a good one to.  Also a factory chambered 17 Remington would be interesting, instead of a rechambered HMR barrel.

7mm's dont get my attention, but a 7-30 waters might catch on.

I think single shots and rimmed cartridges are made for eachother, and that being said I'd like to see a handi in 405 Winchester, and 9.3 x 74R, and maybe even one in 50-110 in a bull barrel.

I'll second tallyho on the 30/40 Krag.  It would be so easy.  The .303 would be a little harder.

I too would like to see a 35 Remington handi.  But what I would really like to see is a 25-20 offering.  This cartridge is a great small game, varmit and where legal turkey round at woods ranges.  In a good rifle it is accurate and quite.  I know you can get one in a Contender but I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy one.  But I would gladly pay the price of a new handi barrel.  Next choice would be a 32 H&R magnum, which I would down load.

Yes the .35 Remington and .348 Winchester I first mentioned, a fine rimmed cartridge. A reintroduction of the 7x57 Mauser would really be great, I have one and it is a wonderful caliber in the Handi. I would even like to see a .358 Winchester chambered barrel, an unsung hero among the 35's. However a Handi in .45 would certainly be fun, inexpensive to shoot and reload for, and handy too!!!!....<><.... :) :)

Gotta go for a 7 Rem. B.R.  Had one in a Rem. XP and in a stupid move sold it.  I think it would do O.K. in a handi. Just my 2 pennies

May as well put my hat in the ring. 30-40 Krag for sure, had one in a Ruger #3 and it was easy to get 308 Win. velocity with excellent accurcy, a great number. I`ll second the 25-35 and not to forget the 7*57 along with it`s rimmed partner the 7*57 rimmed.
