sent my pro carry in because the night sights were fading and they not only put new ones on for free but i sent it out last tuesday and got it back allready. Now thats service!

That sounds great Lloyd!  The SS Combat Commander's night sights are old and fading but I think I will just replace the front and leave the rear alone.  I do have an issue with my Defender.  It shoots about 5" high at 20 yds.  That's not acceptable to me.  Colt has offered to fix it, just send it in, but then again I think I will just put on a higher front sight and go to a Trijicon.  I think the sight for an enhanced Commander will be just right.  We'll see.  44 Man.

ive filed down rear sights to lower impact. a little touch up blue and you cant even tell.

I know this may be a little off the topic but can you tell me how long the night sights last? this is my first post on this forum, I hope I am doing this correctly.

I do own a couple of Kimbers and love them.

Mikey every 1911 ive bought with night sights were used so i cant give you an exact life expectancy. But i would guess 3-5 years. Nice thing with the kimbers is if they fade they will replace them for free. Theve replaced them on two of my guns and i even told them i bought them second hand.
