.35 Whelen Encore in Stainless
« on: September 19, 2006, 07:18:45 PM »
Does anyone know where I can have a .35 Whelen Encore barrel in Stainless made up?  Bullberry looks a little expensive.  Must be some place.  TC Custom shop only makes blued .35 caliber barrels.

Thanks.

If you haven't already done so, call the Custom Shop to see if perhaps they could do one in stainless steel.  Supposedly the 375 H&H Mag. was only available in blue but I know they made some in stainless as well.

You can also try SSK Industries.

There is another company where a guy I know just had a barrel made in .270 Weatherby for the encore.  It was Match Grade Machine.  The barrel looked fantastic.

Try MGM out I think they make .35 caliber SS barrels.

David Van Horn just made one for me.  I just took it out and shot it with factories and got 1.5 - 2" groups on a windy day, and that was during break in.

TMag:  Do you know how to email him for a quote?  His online email address is rejecting mail.

Thanks, dave

to bad you didn't make your post about a month ago. Local gun shop had a complete Encore, stainless frame with a stainless 15 inch  35 Whelen Bullberry barrel. Get this Leuplod reddot on it. $650
