Mine would be a Charter Bulldog 44 special. Wanted one since '86.
But was talked out of it.  >:( (Guess it's time.)

Have always enjoyed the pocket snubs and have several small bore,357 down.

Had the big bore Magnums. They're gone, long time now. But had a lot of fun with them. :)

I am a very fortunate man in the revolver category.  I currently own 2 Dan Wesson 357's with multiple barrels(2.5",4".6".8"), 1 Dan Wesson 44mag with multiple barrels (4", 4"comp, 6", 6"factory hunter scope only, 8") and 2 Dan Wesson 445 Supermags with multiple barrels (4", 4" comp, 6" and 8").  As far as protection and hunting goes, I have the revolver end pretty well covered.  If I could get only 1 other double action revolver, It would probably be a S&W 500 with a 4" tube.  That would give a lot of extra power over my 445 Supermag for protection against rogue water buffalo, raging brown bears, and any carnivorous dinosaurs that may still be walking the planet.

Any dangerous animal too big for my 445 is really too big for any handgun, and I would rather have a long gun for protection aganst those beasts, but I would also rather have the extra power of the S&W 500 if it came down to "have to" with a handgun.  If Dan Wesson came out with a 500 tomorrow, I would take a second mortgage if need be to buy one, and that would likely be the last revolver I would ever buy period, including extra barrels of course (except maybe a Ruger 9mm snubnose if I ever find a good used one.)

Im surprised only one other person mentioned the Python.  I just cant decide on a 4 or 6 inch barrel.  In blue of course.  Honest holster wear is fine like the looks of a mature beautiful woman, and aged scotch, they get better when handled with a smooth touch not shoved away in a safe.

Ruger Redhawk/Standard Redhawk conversion by Bowen that he calls his GP44.  Love the idea of the Ruger Alaskan frame matted to a standard Redhawk barrel.  Make mine a 44 with 5" barrel, tuned, lengthened firing pin,  Bowen rear sight, interchangeable front sight, and lanyard ring.  Now that's my dream DA revolver....RW

A Smith & Wesson Model 27 made in the '50s in the wood box. Probably a 6-incher, but I'd take a four.

A 6" Colt Python in 99% condition. A friend had one last year, after I handled it, tried the trigger, realized the smoothness and craftsmanship, I wanted one. Maybe a 4" Model 10.

Hot topic.    It would be a rossi stanless 357 mag design with a taurus ribber grip that actually functioned and was not a piece of junk. A 6 inch barrel with a smooth action and Ruger quality at a non-S&W price. Caliber 45 colt.  Just dreaming...

OK,

 ;)

I'll change my mind and say a blued, 98%+ 3 1/2" engraved Registered Magnum.  I like the round, and would like to have one of these wheelguns.

I guess I'd go for a performance center tuned Smith 66.  Had a 66 a few years ago and really wish I hadn't gotten rid of it.  Goina get me another one of these days...

Always like the look of the first colt pythons blued about a 6 inch barrel, Why? I bet it had some thing to do with a very old gun digest my dad had laying around the house when I was a youngster, And that it was the only Color page in the book, the blueing in the picture was soooo blue it was near black, they don't make them like that any more. Hmmm I bet there was a marketing plan on that one.....

Two that I let go of for some oddball reason...
A 1974 Smith model 15-3 in .38 Special (I sold for $90.00)
and a sweet shooting Model 60-3 in .357 mag.  Wonderful guns, stupid decisions...
