Fun question!  If it were something available over the counter, it would be "obtainable" so it would have to be something else then.

How about a 2 1/2-inch barreled, round-butted S&W 658?  That would be a .41 Magnum, stainless snubbie.  I'll have aged, real checkered ivory boot grips with that, please.

My S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.  It was my father's and I really like it.  You just can beat the .38 Special for woods loafin.

My "holy grail" double action would be a Colt New Service 7 1/2" flattop target with the "dual designation" barrel: .44 Russian, .44 Spl.
IMHO the finest thing to ever come from Colt. SERIOUSLY above my pay grade!!!!

My heart is in Colt New Service revolvers, but I have to admit that the finest shooting, sweetest balanced revolver I own is my '82 model 29-3 6".

Mr Britton has a good point.
My 1st Colt 6" Anaconda and the heads of the people that were involved in its theft? Same goes for my S&W 57 and 19. Crack heads threw their lives away. I know who stole my guns, but won't take the  law into my hands. Any way he just returned to prison for the umpteenth time!

Hey!!! Easy with that "Mr." Britton stuff! It's Mike. Just a regular gun dummy. Don't elevate me to a level of incompetence.

Ruger GP100. Built like an M1 Tank, ammo is universally available and it will suffice for any situation requiring a handgun this side of the Rockys.

East; I wouldn't want to try to fend off a grizzly with a .357.

That would be the S&W M657 Magnum Hunter. Baring that then a 681 S&W converted to .41Special. Kind of a S&W 658 (if only) Lite.

S&W 329PD (even though I don't like the internal lock).

I think this would be a great lightweight revolver to pack during hiking or hunting.

I guess it would have to be a Super Redhawk .454.

I know its not a DA, but what I really would like to have is a Freedom Arms premier grade .454 with a six inch barrel. The problem is its a little out of my price range for a hand gun.

Decisions, decisions!

OK, Colt Diamondback 4" bbl. blue steel, .38 SPL. I love my Detective Special and like my Police Positive a lot, and would like the adjustable sights on what is essentially the same gun. I have always thought the vent rib was classy looking, too.

(But I'm most likely to actually GET a S&W Mod. 30-1, 4" bbl. .32 S&W Long, to which I will have a good gunsmith add adjustable sights. Purpose: lightweight & compact trail gun, and could adjust sights to my 115g, 850fps load.)

I know some would argue that it is not a revolver, but I would like to have one of the new Rossi/Taurus deals like the new Circuit Court Judge that was shown at the SHOT Show this year. I want one chambered in .45-70 and they could call it the Supreme Court Judge.

A Bowen Redhawk in .500 Linebaugh; or a Janz in .500 Linebaugh long. (It comes in .500 Smith but I am sure for the price they charge one can get a custom)

5" Registered Magnum, since they are not available, I'd settle for a 5" M-27, Classic Blue in the presentation box.
