Contender open sights
« on: September 20, 2006, 01:37:23 PM »
Where can I find a place to but open sights fora Contender?  I've looked on the T/C site, with no luck. I need a set with a wide opening in the rear sight.  Thanks.

Did you CALL T/C and ask one of the tech's? As you probably know there are several different sets. One for 10" another for 14" etc.  The # is 603-332-2333 hours are 8 to 4 I think!

No, I didn't call them, I just looked on the site. I didn't know different barrel lengths  took different sights, either.   Thanks.

The problem with E-bay is that nobody there seems to know that there are several different heights of front and rear sights as another poster mentioned and they never tell you what size they are.  If they would even tell you what barrel they came off of (if they know) I could look at my chart and figure out what size they are.  There is a good chance you will get them and you will not be able to sight the gun in!  I even bought a barrel of e-bay once and could not sight the barrel in and after checking determined that it had the wrong sights on it.  A lot of folks take the sights off and throw them in a pile when installing a scope, then decide to sell the barrel, take the scope mount off and put the sights back on by grabbing a set from the pile.
