Somebody on another forum made the point, that though the Attorney General of CA claims to be 'protecting' the taxpayers of CA from pollution that comes from the cars the auto makers are manufacturing, it is actually the taxpayers of CA who are driving the cars... if the cars remained parked, there would be no pollution from them.
Kinda reminds me of the cities and states who sued the cigarette manufacturers, when it was actually the smokers who lit the things up and thereby caused all the problems.
But of course the bozos won, and filled their coffers with loot from the cig makers, so now they've selected another big business for their politically correct embrace. Problem is that the most of (if not all) the US automakers are struggling to survive. This may put them over the edge... unless of course they have the guts to say to the AG of CA - up yours honorable sir, we shall no longer supply these hazardous items to your precious state.
Remember when California banned .50 cal firearms, and Ronnie Barret of Barret firearms refused to sell, or even service the 50 cals that various California law enforcement agencies owned. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_Firearms_CompanyThere just ain't any recognition of personal responsibility from our 'leaders' when they indulge in this cr@p!
And somewhere along the line we must remember "You get the government you deserve."
