Come on guys...admit it.  California is important to all of us.  From them we can empirically recognize the ridiculous and absurd.  We have a whole State that is a "yard stick of stupidity" from which to measure our States.  That by itself is important.  Thank God it isn't happening (outloud anyway) in the East.

Consider those who aspire to be a "white hot spotlight" Government employee.  They didn't get there with their integrity intact.  Clip one ot two of their support strings and the puppet fails to perform.  It is clear then to PAY ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN.  If line(s) of support to the policy or policy-maker can be indentified, then a means of resistance is clear.

You're right; California is a good example of a bad example.  If anyone wonders what their state will be like if they allow the liberals to gain control--you need look no further.

While I'm not generally a "they ought to pass a law" kind of guy, there needs to be a penilty for filing a frivolous law suit.....in other words, you loose, you pay all cost.......for both sides......or, something along those lines........

These kinds of law suits can cost a fortune to defend and the cost is passed on to the consumer, and is ment to drive the manufactures out of business or driving up cost until only the affluent can afford to drive.

Seems most of the auto companies are doing a pretty good job of loosing business without any more help.  I know I won't buy a new vehicle at todays prices.......

I agree, Kalafornia is a little different, but they are not alone.  Look at the number of states that allowed  lawsuits to proceed against gun manufacturers because someone used their product to kill someone.  Quite a few allowed this to happen.

Yes, we all have some crazy folks, even here in Texas, but………..we try to send all of our crazies to Washington D.C.

I'm a CA native who just moved to Texas; I couldn't escape the People's Republic fast enough. They are totally **insane**, and you wouldn't believe how deep it goes. They have bought off on a collective fantasy that is an outright denial of reality. These are the same rabble rousing fools and opportunists who destroyed Athens and Rome.

Not to flog a dead horse, but they are in outright denial of reality.

California needs some defense here. I would say that if you are served lemons, make lemonaide.
It is good that we have California. It is good that we have a place for those kind of folks to congregate---and we should keep them seperated.
Maybe we could make it one giant institution--put all the other fruits out there, including Ms Clinton, and let them live their lives in LA-LA land, ignoring and making it manditory that anything they should demand be repremanded to the trash bin and deleted.
I have several that are good candidates for sentencing.

I have never been a big fan of Kali either, but it is good for a laugh now and then. Awhile back they were interviewing a resident about an earthquake and he said " I knew when the canine americans began barking something was up."

Yall make jokes but remember California is part of YOUR Country. It's not like lame a$$ Cal laws/ideas will NEVER have a ripple effect on the rest of the country.

Dont worry?????? Like I said, California is part of the USA. I use my front door to enter my house and I go anywhere I want to in it. I dont need to use the side door to go the the kitchen or the back door to enter the family room. There isnt only one way to enter your country either.

That's the really sad part. Once a stupid law is passed in Kali it goes to N.Y. Then it comes to Illinois.

Somebody on another forum made the point, that though the Attorney General of CA claims to be 'protecting' the taxpayers of CA from pollution that comes from the cars the auto makers are manufacturing, it is actually the taxpayers of CA who are driving the cars... if the cars remained parked, there would be no pollution from them.

Kinda reminds me of the cities and states who sued the cigarette manufacturers, when it was actually the smokers who lit the things up and thereby caused all the problems.

But of course the bozos won, and filled their coffers with loot from the cig makers, so now they've selected another big business for their politically correct embrace. Problem is that the most of (if not all) the US automakers are struggling to survive. This may put them over the edge... unless of course they have the guts to say to the AG of CA - up yours honorable sir, we shall no longer supply these hazardous items to your precious state.

Remember when California banned .50 cal firearms, and Ronnie Barret of Barret firearms refused to sell, or even service the 50 cals that various California law enforcement agencies owned. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_Firearms_Company

There just ain't any recognition of personal responsibility from our 'leaders' when they indulge in this cr@p!

And somewhere along the line we must remember "You get the government you deserve."

This whole thing is SOP for Dumbycrats.  They use the courts to legislate.  The Governator ought to find some way to put this AG out of business.

Was told recently by a car dealer here in Alaska, "As goes California, goes the rest of the country".  All new cars have to meet California's emmissions controls.  They set the standard for the rest of the country.  We need to keep our eyes on them just to possiably rein them in sometimes.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Thanks for the links, that's frightening. Linked ammo constitutes a magazine? Even if you don't own a firearm that uses linked ammo? I've said it before, when Kali slides into the ocean you're all invited to my house for a kegger.

Oh no! There are 30 million Californians wishing you hadn't mentioned that - it could happen! - after all methane is one of the 'greenhouse gases'.   :-[

It is probably just a matter of time now that Sheila has given them a head-up this forum!  :o

Time to move to a gaseous Tex-Mex food eating state (or Boston where they eat beans - although there are other good reasons not to live there if you are a gun owner).

Having resided in California for a short while a number of years ago, it was easy too see that those folks do not think. They are the second ones to know what is said after they make a statement.
How it really got so messed up I have no clue--but those folks are truely different.
If they were attacked by Mexico they would surrender to a cab diver, I believe.
Now maybe we should not include Northern California in this conversation.

Here are two prime examples of why we all need to be members of the NRA.  Yes, some might think that the NRA's positions are a bit strong at times but so are the gun grabber's.    And we all know if you give the gun grabbers an inch they will take a mile.   The grabbers started with hand guns, then 'assault weapons' (whatever their definition is) and now they want all long guns.  The anti's will not stop until all firearms are outlawed.

The NRA may not be perfect but they are the strongest defence we have against the gun grabbers.  If you are not a member consider joining, if you are a member keep renewing or consider upgrading your membership to either Life Member or Benefactor.

If you enjoy hunting, target shooting or just collecting firearms and want to be able to pass the tradition on to your kids join the NRA now before it's too late.
