I don't think the metal type matters, although if I have brass, I like to use it...just because it's a bit "softer" on the barrel and brass seems to soak up recoil a bit better. That's probably just a "mental" thing on my part though.
Good luck on nailing that buck. I've been trying to arrow an 8 point or better for 4 weeks now. I can't tell you how many spikes, three, 4, and 6 points that have been standing broadside in the last 4 weeks. But here in PA, they gotta be 4 points on one side or they arn't legal.
That's fine, I can deal with that....I just can't get close to one of those yet. I'd rather fill my tag in bow season than rifle. Then I can fool around with coyote in rifle.
