Politicians ......... who are they?

Last year I decided that the folks who run our township were.......inept. I complained and explained to my neighbors and anyone else that would listen about the anti-guners, a fight that seems like I have been fighting for eternity, the socialists, the liberals and the tax and spenders. Then it dawned on me.....RUN FOR OFFICE. So I went to the local board of elections and obtained the nesessary forms, filled them out and went out one Saturday for 4 hours obtaining the nessesary signatures from fellow Republicans. I sent out flyers and won the primary handily. The General election went the same way so here I am in office. So guys and gals......its time. Its time we NRA types all run for office and take back our country. It doesn't take that much time in a local office (Hell, I work full time as well) And it feels good knowing that I can speak for hundreds of like minded folks instead of just myself. Oh, and I ran openly as a LIFE NRA member..........in New York. If I can do it here then there is no excuse for the rest of you. Get to it. George

I did the same as you but lost the Primary last Month. It was a great experience and now I can say "Put up or shut up". Far too many complain but I never see them on the ballot.

Good deal George........

The only advice I'd like to offer you is that you've got to dance with the one that brought you.  That seems to be a problem with our Republican officials in washington........they went for the money and forgot about the base........they hoped for a large hispanic block to emerge.....well guess what....it didn't......... and now they've PO'ed the people they were courting..........now that the election is nearing, they want to dance with me again.........sorry fellows....to late now.......

Fire them all.....vote libertarian.......

I salute you, George. That is what the founders intended. Washington is now full of career politicians. If that was the way things were intended to be, there wouldn't be a congressional recess. The national Senate is where the hardcore politickers belong. Every other elected position is for the regular folk.
