Been using 338 Powerbelts over 120 grains of American Pioneer powder..........1   1/2" groups, then for a fast reload in the field, 3 777 pellets with the Powerbelts. Using Winchester 777 209's, open sights for Kansas BP deer season.

But,for the upcoming  Oklahona BP deer season,I just got a new Nikon Omega BP scope, so will be using the 250 grain TC Bonded Shockwaves and 3 777 pellets so I can take advantage of the BDC scope. Hoping the 120 grains of American Pioneeer FFG will shoot to the same point of aim,  much cleaner powder.

You should of purchased some 30gr. pellets too. Right now, all you have is 50-100-150gr options.

Mixing some 30gr pellets in allows you 80-90-100-110-120-130-150gr powder volume options.
Keep that ML smokin'

I have settled on the 295 grain Powerbelt and two 50 grain Pyrodex pellets. Will punch cloverleafs at 50 yards, about 1' - 11/2" groups at 100 yards. I have a Nikon Prostaff 2x7x32 scope in Leopold QR rings on mine. Scope detaches easily and quickly for access to iron sights and returns to zero every time. My rifle also shoots very well with the same bullet and 150 grains of pellets, but recoil is stiff and I don't use three anymore. Makes me flinch :o

Well, sighted in my Omega  with the new Omega scope. Decided to use 3 777 pellets and the 250 grain TC Bonded Shockwaves.

Just a suggestion ... after using them tripple 7 pellets get some of the loose power and start at like 100grs and work up from there in 5 gr increments - each gun likes its own personal load and by spending some time at the range you will find the load that best suits your gun.

*personal note*- I like the Hornady 250gr sst

I am shooting the 250grn shockwaves over 130 and 140grn in pyrdex pellets.  As Biff says, look into 30 pellets, but then I am not sure about 777  30grn pellets being available.  777 is not locally available, so I am using pyrodex.  My very most accurate is 130 grn, 140 is respectable, but 150 is enough of a loss in accuracy that I have settled on 140 for my upcomming elk hunt.  300 grn shockwaves would not shoot very well in my rifle.  I will try other sabots/bullets after the hunt and do more experimentation.

I shoot 777 pellets or loose pyrodex both at 100 grains, using Hornady SST in 245 gr or 245 gr barnes spit fire bullets.  Over a rest I can consistantly put 3 in the paper at 50 yards with all three touching.  I swab the barrel between shots with an alcohol prep pad.  If I don't swab between shots the second load is almost impossible to get it down on the powder.  I will use the alcohol pads in foil wrappers for hunting this year.  I didn't like the performance of the power belts on the one deer I shot with them although they shoot tight groups.  I am using Remington klean bore primers.  I saw last week that Cabelas is carrying a special 209 size primer that will take a small pistol primer and can be reloaded.  They sell 10 them with the reloading tools for $20.  I considered buying them by the alcohol prep pads are cheap and work for me.
Don't give up, Moses was once a basket case.
