New Dan Wesson
« on: September 24, 2006, 03:46:03 PM »
Hi,  I just bought a Dan Wesson model 15 with 2, 4 and 6 inch barrels.  I'm looking for an 8 or 10 inch with shroud.  Any one got one? Any idea where to get one?

Thanks, Rod

Welcome to the Dan Wesson group.  I would check first with the factory.  The contact info is in a "noted" post at the top of the Dan Wesson forum.  Factory prices are very reasonable, but you can also check the auction sites (Ebay, Gunbroker, Auctionarms)

I think I mentioned this once before but the new barrels do not match the older ones in appearance. I found this out the hard way, and sold the new barrel for a loss after buying an older barrel on e-bay.

I don't know if it matters to you or not but the new barrels have the caliber laser etched into the metal and the older ones are stamped then blued.

I was trying to match a set so it mattered to me. I think they should tell you that when you are ordering it. I'm sure I wasn't the first to experience this.
