support our troops
« on: September 25, 2006, 07:52:28 AM »
Every one here should check out and get involved in the Forum here about
"Supporting our Troops".... This forum should be at the top of the list
instead of at the bottom and also the top of all our list of priorities.
Our Soldiers are doing a great job Overseas and should have our
total support.. I do not care if you support the Mission they are on or not,
we should support them with all our Being.. We all enjoy our freedoms here,
and we should give back to them for what they give up for us.
I am typing this after just finding out that My Niece is in the hospital
from an accident concerning some sort of Chemical agent. Her Lungs are
Burned. She is in the Army and is not even 20 years old yet !
We all need to get off of our Butts and get involve in supporting
the brave men and women of our armed forces.. A little of your spare time
means an aweful lot to someone thousands of miles from home!!!

S. Sumner:  Sorry to hear about your neice, I hope she recovers quickly and totally.

Folks, the operational phrase in S. Sumner's post is:  "A little of your spare time means an aweful lot to someone thousands of miles from home"!!! And that is so true.  Many Vietnam Vets remember what it was like when we were hung out to dry during that war and had so many communities turn their backs on us because we were soldiers who fought an unpopular war.

Let's not let this happen again.  Mikey.

"Supporting our Troops".... SNIPPED....  My Niece is in the hospital
from an accident concerning some sort of Chemical agent. Her Lungs are
Burned. She is in the Army and is not even 20 years old yet !
....CUT....

S.Sumner,
Your niece will be in our prayers. This is the horror of war but posting the same message on multiple boards is still spam.
I really do understand your pain - I have had brothers and cousins injured and killed in wars - If I can help you through this time of grief please email me at paulstephens2[at]comcast[dot]com
I am only writing this as a member of this board - this is the third forum that you posted this same message. It serves only to diminish the impact of the tradjedy. I pray that she will be returned to her family in full health.

S.Sumner, my prayers are with your Niece. I have a son over in Iraq right now and pray for his safe return.

I posted it in several of the largest forums
because I do not believe every one here reads all of them.
There was only about two posts on the "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS forum.
My personal feeling is that supporting our troops should
be put permanently at the top thread of EVERY forum here !
Our soldiers give us the right and the privledge to have
forums like this in the first place. I will support them any way I can.
If supporting our troops comes across as "SPAM", I can not bring myself
to appologize for it.
