Hornady 366 AP press
« on: September 26, 2006, 12:59:59 PM »
I requested a Hornady 366 AP press in .410 with gas assist for a product review. I got the word today the request has been approved and they will be making it for me.

Hornady doesn't stock these presses but makes them individually as they are ordered. It seems that the shotshell loader business is not a very big part of their over all business so they don't keep them in stock. This too will be a new experience for me as I've loaded every single .410 hull I've ever loaded on a MEC 600 JR or 700 Versamec.

If the P-W 28 ga loader is approved for a review as well I'll be able to do a side by side comparison of the two loaders and offer my insight on both. Should be an interesting review.

Anyone using a Hornady 366 AP or the older Pacific DL 366?

Never used the 366 in .410 but I've used my Pacific 366 12 gauge unit for many years as had the previous owner.Probably loaded in excess of 60,000 rounds(conservative estimate) and all I've ever changed was the advance pawl and the primer feed tray spring. The machine should still be going strong when I'm long gone.
