i have a ruger vaquero in .45 long colt.
i really like the gun, and i reload for it. i think it would be more accurate if i had an ajustable rear sight on it.
is it possible to have this done by a gunsmith?
i dont want to buy a new gun, like a blackhawk, just because it has an ajustable rear sight.
due to upcoming shoulder surgery, i may have to use this handgun for deer hunting this season as i dont think i will be able to steady a shotgun with my right arm. (i shoot left handed). bow hunting is definately out for this year.
anyway,i`m thinking a gunsmith could cut in a dovetail that would allow a good ajustable rear sight (stainless) on my vaquero. maybe even an ajustable peep hole sight on it?
to be honest, i am not very accurate with the fixed sights as it is.
any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
i dont want a scope on it. just better iron sights.
