SW 396 - Mountain Lite
« on: September 29, 2006, 09:57:29 AM »
Hi folks,

First time I ever posted in this section - howdy. :)

Anyway,

Does anyone own one of the SW model 396 "Mountain Lite" in 44 special?  If so, what do you think of it.  I have a chance to pick up a good condition used one.

Thanks in advance.

Who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes? :)

had one and it was a neat gun. Extreamly light. You can stick it in your pocket and not even know its there. Recoil was stiff with 7.5 unique loads and with 18 grains of 2400 and a 250 it was brutal! It drew more blood from my hands then my linebaughs ever did. I ended up selling it and getting a 696 and like that one even better.
