I have a Shiloh Sharps that I purchased in 1984 and am just getting around to shooting it. The rifle was 45/70 with about .5 inch of throat. I have had it rechambered to 45/100 to get rid of that throated area. I need a tunnel front sight however the base of the blade front sight on the rifle measured .447 inches. The only sights I can get in Australia are for a 3/8 dovetail. Will one of Lee Shavers modified Lyman 17A sights with the larger dovetail fit this rifle.
