front sight broken
« on: September 30, 2006, 11:54:17 AM »
I took a friend of mine to the range the other day to introduce him to the fun times of shooting muzzleloaders. A great time was had by all. At the end of the day however, I had a slight mishap that caused the front sight to break(I usually shoot it with a scope anyway, but am bummed about the sight.  Does anyone know where I can get aftermarket front sights for my sidekick?

Call H&R/NEF Customer Service, they will have it and at the best price too. Check the FAQ sticky up in NEF/H&R Center Fire Rifles Forum, there is a toll free number up there and information on the Williams Fire-Sights. I bought a whole set of Fire-Sights and a WGRS last fall from H&R/NEF, the front sight part number is S03198 and was a whopping $4.95. I doubt you will find it cheaper anywhere else.

I had trouble with the regulation of my Sidekicks sights and had to replace them. i used Williams fire site's. I got them thru Brownells. You will just need to know the height. They are metal and MUCH better than the factory one!!

CW,

You must have had the old plastic ones, all the Huntsman/Sidekick rifles have Williams Fire-Sights on them now.
