depending on the maker
could be as much up around 5000 in new shape .
however i will say most likely less the 200 that was offered .. the auction sites have many originals most all the time . few in possibly shoot able shape . one would have to look them over rather well to know for sure however .
they go for anywhere from 50 to 75 to around 200 .
I watched a very nice what appeared to be capable of being restored to shoot able shape for 275 Friday night . It was very clean . Stock in good shape as well as nipples that appeared to have been replaced not long ago .
i have i think about 15 or 20 originals in my collection counting breech loaders . the most i purchased for 75 -200. i have a 1830's JW king, 14 gage double pin , with 40 inch barrels and carved dog head and serpent hammers that i got for 1000 . but i knew the past owner , how he came to own it as well as most of the its story as far as a bureau trade gun , then back to England for refurbishing in the 1850’s .
There is a 100 years lost section of knowledge where it somehow made its way back to the states then west on the Oregon trail to here in Idaho where it was found in 1946 .
She is in very good shape and I have had the pleasure of shooting it ..
All that made it worth the received price . With out that I wouldn’t have paid more then 4 or 5 for it at the most
