Website for knife steels?
« on: October 01, 2006, 09:25:16 AM »
Is there any website that discuss steels for making knives?
I'm thinking of making knives,either by cut and grind, or by forging.
Thanks.

I'm sure there's a lot of websites out there that discuss knifemaking dettails.  The two I'm most familiar with are http://www.knifenetwork.com and http://www.britishblades.com.  In both cases go to the forum areas.  There are a number of both forums and tutorials that cover various aspects of knifemaking.

Try;

         www.admiralsteel.com/

       If you decide to forge, there is a lot of "found" steel out there..
