Pietta quality
« on: October 01, 2006, 10:50:42 AM »
I'm considering a new single action revolver.  How is the quality of the Pietta made Charles Daly S.A.A. revolvers in comparasion to Ruger, Uberti, USFA,  etc.  I will probably be buying a .45 Colt.   How are they in overall quality and  workmanship?  I have 4 Rugers now and am generally satisfied with their quaiity.  I did have to ream the cylinder throats on the 45's to .4525".   Anyone with any experience with the Piettas?

The Charles Daly SAA is the same as the Pietta made Great Western II revolvers.  The are considered to be some of the best Italian made clones on the market today, if not the best Europe has to offer.  A lot of cowboy action folks are using them for competition straight out of the box without complaint.
