I would like to see a Handi pistol

Hi All

Just in case any of the H&R folks hang out here  :D

I would love a Handi pistol.  In other words the same thing as the Handi rifle only in pistol form.

I think a 22 Mag single shot that you could change the barrel to 410/45 Colt would be very nice for a pack gun.

The old H&R made a single shot pistol years ago but don't look for the new company to do it .

 I'm just happy with what they make now , good quality american made rifles and shotguns that we all can afford .  8)

 Just MHO, I don't think H&R- NEF will build a pistol other than
 the blank or starter ptstols they make now. May be wrong,
 been long time since I was Just can not remeber when was last time.

Hey, why hasnt anybody made one yet? i mean everyone seems to be handi in the gun tinkering and building department so why hasnt anyone fashiond one out? It would be pretty easy! Sombody tryit!!!!!

Not hardly, especially considering you can't interchange barrels from frame to frame.   

The only way you could EVER build a Handi pistol would be if NEF started selling virgin receivers, and I wouldn't hold my breath for that one...

This has been kicked around before. H&R has stated that they would not make handguns ever again. (You can probably thank lawyers for that decision.) Of course this was prior to Marlin buying them out.  And although it would be easy enough for a home garage gun smith to make a hand cannon using a Handi platform the cost and headaches of obtaining the Federally required licence to do so would make it unfeasible. Of course you could always take your chances and hope you don't wind up spending 10 years at the gray bar hotel with a bunk mate named Bubba.  :o

They used to make a Handi-Gun years ago. Someone posted a picture of one once. I did a search but came up empty. Maybe someone can remember it and post.

I would buy one for sure!! I would love one in .44 Mag with about a 10-12 inch barrel. I love single shot everything :) Jack.
