jack rabbit shooting in texas???

does anybody know of what part of the state to need to go to shoot thses? i'm over by killeen (ft. hood) is there any hunting with in like 2 hours of here??


are they still active durning the winter?? i doubt it gets that cold here , should be able to hunt them all year long right???

how much shooting do you get into around theses parts ?? is 25 a day too much to be hoping for?

don;t know about where you are, but here in s.e. oklahoma we only have a few, would love to see them make a comeback

The army has me over here at Ft. Bliss till the end of this month, and the desert out here around the El Paso area has quite a few of them...I was thinking of getting a slingshot and see if I could hit a few without people finding out.

i'm thinking a trip out to the west part of the state is in order on my next 4 day, sounds like a lot of good varmint shooting out there.
